Have you ever used a vape and thought, “Am I doing this right?” Well, you’re not alone. Today, we’re going to go over how to use a vape step by step.
I’m Sarah from Central Lab Compassionate Care, and this guide is designed for patients who want a gentle and informed approach.
First, let’s get to know your device. Most vapes will fall into two different categories: button activated and draw activated.
With the button activated pen, you want to click the button five times to turn it on or off. You click the button three times rapidly to change the heat settings. If you want to do a preheat, you can click it twice and it will preheat the cart for you so you can just draw from there.
With a draw activated device, you do not need to turn it on or off. You simply pull to activate it. This is our auto draw battery from Pulsar.
What you do is put your cartridge in the bottom here. It magnets right on so it’s nice and discreet. The button on the bottom will click through the different heat settings.
Next, we’re going to talk about how to take a proper draw. Vaping is not the same as smoking, so instead of a quick inhale, you want to try a slow, gentle draw. Hold it for about two to four seconds and exhale comfortably.
We always say this to our patients here: start low and go slow. Give yourself time between puffs to see how you feel.
Lastly, here are some common mistakes to avoid. Pulling too hard. Chain vaping, which is when you take one hit after another without taking a break in between. Another one is using too high of heat right away.
If it tastes harsh, you want to stop, lower the temperature, or just take a break.
