Hi everyone, welcome back to Central Ave’s Educational Channel, and today we’re going to be going into a topic that comes up all the time: the difference between indica and sativa flower. If you’ve ever looked up at the board and wondered what the labels mean, this video is for you.

First off, indica and sativa are the two main flower categories that you find in cannabis, and they’re usually grown in different parts of the world. They look a little bit different. So, indica plants are usually shorter, bushier, and have darker, wider leaves, while sativa plants are taller, thinner, and have more slender leaves.

Indica strains are usually known to be more relaxing, while sativa strains are more for energizing and daytime use. That being said, everybody is different and will have their own experience when it comes to these types of flower. A lot of that will have to do with the cannabinoid profile and the terpenes.

So most cannabis plants today aren’t necessarily one or the other. You’ll find a lot of hybrid strains, which is a mix between both the sativa and indica plants. You can find them at 50/50, or some are more indica-dominant, some are more sativa-dominant, giving you a different experience.

So next time you see indica, sativa, or hybrid on the menu, you’ll know which way the plant was grown and the different vibe that it’ll give.
