How Central Harvest’s Indoor-Grown Cannabis Stays Clean & Consistent

Central harvest Clean and Consistent Indoor-Grown Cannabis

Indoor cannabis cultivation offers a unique advantage—especially in Massachusetts, where weather and humidity can be unpredictable. At Central Harvest in Ayer, MA, our fully controlled indoor environment allows us to fine-tune every variable that impacts plant health, from temperature and humidity to lighting and airflow.

By maintaining consistent conditions from cloning through curing, our cultivation team minimizes risks like mold, yeast, and bacterial growth that often challenge outdoor cannabis. This process not only supports clean, healthy plants but also ensures a more consistent, high-quality flower every time.

Because of our careful climate control and rigorous attention to detail, our flower moves straight from curing to lab testing—without any need for remediation. The result is cleaner, safer cannabis that’s ready for patients and customers without compromise.

So indoor cannabis, we really are afforded some unique benefits that outdoor cannabis, especially in Massachusetts, does not have the luxury of. Uh, and really that’s climate control. You know, we’ve got our humidity and our temperatures really well dialed in from the day we cut clones all the way through the drying and curing process.

We can control the humidities to where we want them. We can control the temperatures. We can control the lighting, which really makes for a very consistent product, and in many cases a safer product because you can eliminate some of that bacterial growth, that yeast and mold risk in growth by controlling the temperatures and humidities and controlling the process from seed all the way through sale.

Whereas, especially in a state like Massachusetts, uh, in the Northeast in general, you’re exposed to, you know, a wide range of summer humidities and rains and pressures that really make for kind of unstable cannabis growth and just a whole lot of variables that we’re not exposed to in an indoor setting.

So due to all these factors that I’m talking about, you know, our controlled environment from seed all the way through sale, it allows us, you know, when we do submit our flower for laboratory testing, we never have to remediate or do any of those things. We can just go straight from the curing process straight into lab testing and then get it straight out to customers and patients.
